March 6th, 2012· Support for RAW images captured with the D4, D800 and D800E has been added.
· Extra High 1 (Extra High) and Extra High 2 items have been added to the Active D-Lighting pulldown menu under Camera Settings in the Develop section of the Edit List.
· When "Always use the latest Color Reproduction Process" in the Picture Control Utility Preferences is selected for images captured with cameras released prior to the D4, these items will be displayed.

· An issue that prevented accurate display of lens information in the Metadata palette for images captured with the Nikon 1 V1 or Nikon 1 J1 and a 1 NIKKOR lens has been resolved.
· When certain images with GPS information attached were saved in JPEG format, Capture NX 2 sometimes quit responding. This issue has been resolved.
March 5th, 2012· An issue that prevented application of Auto Distortion in the Develop>Camera & Lens Corrections section of the Edit List palette to images captured with the combination of a Nikon 1 V1 or Nikon 1 J1 camera with A and B firmware version 1.10 installed and a 1 NIKKOR lens has been resolved.
· Lens information is now displayed in the Metadata palette for images captured with the Nikon 1 V1 or Nikon 1 J1 using the Mount Adapter FT1 and a CPU lens.
· Support for images captured with the Nikon 1 V1 and Nikon 1 J1 using the Mount Adapter FT1 has been added.
· An Astro Noise Reduction option has been added to Noise Reduction in the Camera Settings portion of the Develop section in the Edit List palette. This option reduces the randomly spaced bright pixels that occur in images of stars captured with long exposures.
· An Auto2 option has been added to New WB under White Balance in the Camera Settings portion of the Develop section in the Edit List palette. This option is available with RAW images taken with the COOLPIX P7100.
· When white balance is changed to Auto2 and a settings file saved, a white balance setting of Recorded Value will be applied if the settings file is used on a RAW image that does not support the Auto2 white balance setting.
· When Set Gray Point was selected from White Balance in the Camera Settings portion of the Develop section in the Edit List palette, and the image clicked to specify a portion to use as the gray point, the point selected was sometimes not accurately reflected in the resulting white balance if the image had first been rotated. This issue has been resolved.
· This software now operates as a native 64-bit application under the 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
· An Embed Preview When Saving NEF/NRW item with Thumbnail and Preview and Thumbnail only options has been added to the General panel of the Preferences accessed from the Edit menu.
· In addition, preview images can later be added to NEF/NRW files saved without embedding them using the new Update Preview option in the Browser palette context menu and File menu.
· The default setting for the Use Image Cache option in the Cache Settings panel of the Preferences, accessed from the Edit menu, has been changed to off (not checked).
· When Capture NX 2 Ver. 2.3.0 is installed with the Use Image Cache option enabled (checked) with the previous version of Capture NX 2, Use Image Cache will be disabled (unchecked) and cached data will be deleted.
· An issue that resulted in inconsistent display of images in the Browser palette and images inside the folder selected in the Folders palette has been resolved.
· When a batch process was run for images captured with simultaneous RAW + JPEG recording by selecting Run Batch Process from the Batch menu with a new naming convention applied to the RAW and JPEG images, new files were not always created for the selected images. This issue has been resolved.
· An issue that caused the Folders, Browser, and Metadata palettes to be shifted down when Windows was set to display the taskbar at the top of the desktop has been resolved.
· When Set as Default Printer was applied to some printers with Windows, a Capture NX 2 stops working error message was displayed when Capture NX 2 was exited. This issue has been resolved.
· When tone curves were edited using Adjust menu>Light>Levels & Curves, Adjust menu>Color>LCH, or Quick Fix in the Develop section of the Edit List palette, positions of anchor points changed unexpectedly. This issue has been resolved.
· When the mouse cursor was positioned over the Set Black Point button in the Levels & Curves dialog, accessed via the Adjust menu>Light, to display an explanation of the feature, white point information was displayed. This issue has been resolved. (French version only)
November 12th, 2010· Support for RAW images captured with the D7000 has been added.
· Support for Nikon Message Center 2 has been added.
· On systems to which ViewNX 2 has been installed, Nikon Transfer 2 is now launched when the Launch Nikon Transfer button is clicked or Launch Nikon Transfer… is selected from the File menu.
· When Photo Effects... was selected from the Filter menu, and the Auto button in the Photo Effects palette was clicked multiple times, the Brightness value sometimes decreased. This issue has been resolved.
· When a RAW image captured with the D3100 using a Nikon Speedlight was saved in NEF format after adjustments under the Develop section of the Edit List had been applied, and the new NEF image was later opened, the adjustments applied were reflected in the image, but the adjustments and their values were not properly applied under the Develop section of the Edit List. This issue has been resolved.
· However, even when such images saved with Capture NX 2 Ver. 2.2.5 are opened in Capture NX 2 Ver. 2.2.6, adjustments will not be properly applied. Adjustments must be reapplied using Capture NX 2 Ver. 2.2.6.
· When images were printed in landscape orientation with some printers, a portion of the images was not printed. This issue has been resolved.
· With some printers, when Printer... was selected from the Page Setup dialog and the OK button clicked, the values indicated for margins sometimes changed. This issue has been resolved.
· When arbitrary values were entered for margins in the Page Setup dialog and borderless printing was then selected in the Source, the margin values did not change to "0". This issue has been resolved.
· When Select Picture Size was selected in the Page layout dialog, image frame(s) in the preview window switched to portrait orientation. This issue has been resolved.
· When the insufficient memory message was displayed while running a batch process with multiple images open, image thumbnails sometimes became completely black. This issue has been resolved.

· When any of the operations listed below are performed, Updating image is now displayed in the image window title bar. Enhancements and other operations can still be performed while Updating image is displayed.

· When Open With... is selected from the File menu for an image saved to CD-R or non-recordable medium, the image is first copied to a separate location and then opened in the other application.
