  • Enhancements:
  • Chanalyzer and inSSIDer are family, so shouldn’t they they look alike? Chanalyzer’s status bar now resembles the status bar on inSSIDer Office, making it easier to see what WiFi adapters and Wi-Spy devices are connected.
  • You can now subscribe to the beta channel to receive updates before it is available to everybody.
  • This version switches the old updater to Magpie, our very own internal installer and updater. Did we mention it’s open source?
  • We’ve drastically improved the MetaCare renewal experience because we want to continually improve your experience as a valued customer.
  • If you are near MetaCare expiration, Chanalyzer checks the status of your license on startup to make sure that it doesn’t miss any MetaCare extensions that you may have recently purchased.
  • Chanalyzer app icons used to break in some virtual machines, so we did away with the desktop shortcut altogether. Of course, you can still find Chanalyzer in the Start menu, and you can pin it to your taskbar for quick access.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • The “Send Feedback” and MetaCare expiration warning banner didn’t get along well… so we put some empty space between them. They get along fine now.
  • Previous app settings are now retained when updating to the latest version.

  • Chanalyzer now supports scaling on high-DPI displays. I know, right?! Now you can put that high-resolution display to good use!
  • Sometimes, you need a break. In your reports. Report Builder now features page breaks. Nice!
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a licensing bug which caused some users to be blocked from using Chanalyzer when they were disconnected from the Internet.
  • A corrupt user configuration file could cause previous versions to crash, and crashing is bad (obviously), so we took care of that.
