If you use other programs for video editing, you can now create animations with AquaSoft Vision and directly include them in other applications - without waiting, conversion or quality loss. If you modify your vision project, the changes will be immediately visible in the other program.

With the 3D scene object you enter the world of 3D animation. Everything within the 3D scene can be edited and animated in 3D using the integrated 3D editor. The innovative background track above the Timeline makes the overall context of your current position and changes visible. Scale the height of the background track directly within the timeline. Preview your project in its entirety at any time and navigate reliably through your presentation. Stringent calculation and display of "stuck" objects gives you optimized project control and helps you to avoid mistakes
Project start with chapter tracks:
You can now start your next project with multiple tracks. Whether you use them for photos, videos, music, sounds, or text objects remains entirely up to your preferred working method. In the program settings, you specify whether you want to start with chapter tracks and, if so, with how many.
Persistent tracks:
Chapters and Flexi-Collages now support your design preferences with persistent tracks. This way, empty tracks can be created and retained permanently if required. As a result, you gain a better overview and more freedom within your extensive projects. In addition, any elements in the timeline can now be switched to invisible without disappearing from view.
Know what's happening with the live preview:
With the live preview that can be activated in the Layout Designer, you can view specific sections in action - controlled by the playhead. Simply select the section you want to view in the timeline and move the playhead across it. Use this functionality to view individual chapters, to check used effects more quickly, or to navigate precisely to the scenes you're looking for during video editing.

It doesn't matter if satellite, terrain or street map - with the new map types available within the map wizard you can show your travel routes the right way. The hill shadings have been overhauled and are now merged with the underlying map, they can also be displayed more strongly than before.
Great performance is typical for SlideShow 9 and so the map wizard has also been improved: Photos will be loaded and decoded in the background which results in a faster and better handling.
Animated routes have not been forgotten: They now render a lot smoother and clearer. You can now choose between more than 100 new vehicle graphics in different variations and colors for your routes or, if you still cannot find one that fits, include your own.
New! More and improved transitions:
SlideShow 9 comes with several new and improved transitions for your photos and videos: With the new fade-ins and fade-outs like brush, rectangle, honeycombs or cross you provide your photos the certain something. You can of course customize each new transition in a multitude of ways which allows for countless variations.
Many transitions have been extended by 3D rotations, lightning and other customization options.

Improved! Better text input and rendering:
Text input and rendering have both improved in SlideShow 9. Texts can now be automatically scaled down to fit their frames. Now texts within speech bubbles will always fit, even if you add or remove texts or if you change the font type.
The free positioning of texts has been improved as well. You can now position a text everywhere you like and still keep it vertically aligned in its frame. Furthermore it's now possible to change the color of text shadows which makes it possible to have clearly visible shadows even on dark images.
New! For tinkerers: Create your own scripts and integrate them:
Users with programming knowledge will find an interesting feature with SlideShow 9: With the integrated scripting functionality you are now able to create your own program extensions - the scriptlets. With scriptlets you can create SlideShow objects, sort them, place them in tracks, load presets or open the map wizard at the GPS coordinates which you imported from the EXIF information stored in one of your images. There are no imported from one of your pictures. The possibilities are virtually endless.

Map assistant and animated travel routes:
With the map assistant of AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate, you are able to add maps to your slideshow with just a few clicks. The map assistant provides maps from all over the world with a high level of detail, different styles, zooming steps and map sections defined by you.
The handling is just as easy: You can either search for a location within the assistant (like Google) or move and zoom within the map.
Your maps become even more impressive if you show your travel routes on them. To accomplish this, AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate features animated routes. With just a few clicks of the mouse, you can create a path on your map. Simply choose a style and create great animation that shows your route.
Flexibility is important. Therefore you are also able to use the animated routes with your own images (e.g. your own maps) and even videos.

In the past, fading a picture meant slowly covering one image with the next. This still looks nice, but this action requires that there are images to fade in to. If there are no other images, the last picture just stays on top. With AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate, you can now control the fade in and fade out for each photo and video—not only with alpha blending, but with all available transitions, as well.

Create videos in the format you need. Regardless if you want Blu-ray, AVCHD, or a DVD, with AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate, you can easily create the type of disc you need. You can also export your shows to all kinds of video formats like H.264, MP4, MOV, WMV, MKV, MPEG 2, or WebM. With the integrated AVI export, you can use just about any video encoder installed on your system.
Not only has the number of available video formats increased, but the speed of the video encoding has also been increased, especially on computers with modern multicore processors – the difference is impressive.

Hierarchical animations with the new Flexi-Collage:
Collages were originally pictures and newspaper articles glued together. The simple collage, a static arrangement of pictures and texts, is still available in AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate.
However, the new Flexi-Collage is an exciting addition to the program. Photos, text, and videos can be arranged and animated individually or as a group. You can even combine Flexi-Collages and nest them into other Flexi-Collages to create complex scenes. This means that the movement of the parent Flexi-Collage will be transferred to all its child elements.
The image of a a car is a good example. Each tire is a separate image that is rotated individually. Within the Flexi-Collage, all elements are arranged to create a car with rotating tires. To move the whole car in a direction, a movement is assigned in Flexi-Collage to move all the elements together, including the rotating tires.

Better text rendering:
ext, regardless whether as image captions or independent text elements, look much better with AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate. Border quality has been improved, and this is especially noticeable in high resolution (e.g. a Blu-ray video export).
The border scales much better with the output resolution, so the text border will always be proportionally the same, whether your are creating a low-resolution video DVD or a HD Blu-ray disc. Shadows are also thicker and smoother, which makes them more natural looking. In addition, with the new version you can now combine text shadows and borders.
When animating text, it will be displayed with perfect quality and sharpness – no more scaling artifacts. Text rendering is also much faster than before, so animations of large text blocks will be smooth and stunning.
With the use of the Flexi-Collage, you can even assign transitions to text, which could normally only be done to fade in or fade out images.

Animated masks:
The new animated masks allow for great amazing effects in your shows. Let your picture stay in the dark and use a mask to simulate the light from a flashlight to illuminate just a portion of the image. Combine this action with a movement path to make the light cone illuminate each face on your photo.
Masks can be pictures, text or videos. Even complex combinations of many elements are no problem. The working principle behind a mask is simple. The lighter the pixel of your mask the more visible the image becomes behind the mask. Conversely, darker pixels create less image visibility. You can also use specific color channels for masking or invert the whole mask.

Image distortion with displacement mapping:
With AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate's displacement feature, you can create many amazing effects. For example, you can create a magnifying glass with a working lens and to move over your photos. The part of the picture underneath the lens will be magnified and distorted.
To create these effects, a normal picture is combined with a displacement map that describes with its own color values how the normal image will be distorted. Displacement maps can also be animated and can be images, text, videos or a combination of several elements.

Improved SlideShow player:
The SlideShow player – the engine of AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate that plays your shows, has been completely revamped. The software player is a thing of the past. AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate is no longer restricted by limitations and can now use the full power of your graphics hardware – camera pans and other movements will be smooth and even, and 3D transitions and other graphically complex effects are now possible.
The SlideShow player is much more efficient now: It only creates the amount of frames needed for your display. This gives your graphics card and processor a break and conserves your laptop's battery.
Transitions have been improved, as well! New smooth pixel perfect transitions and 3D fadings are now possible. Existing transitions have been combined with several configurable transitions that make for a better overview. The display quality of several of the old fadings has been considerable improved.

The new layout designer:
The layout designer of AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate has been improved in many ways. It now supports the selection of multiple elements so that you can easily move, rotate, or scale them. With this new aspect you can even move whole movement paths.
The magnetic grid is now available in different variations. Additionally, images will now latch onto the edges of other pictures, a feature that helps to facilitate the positioning of multiple images. With the arrow keys, you can position your photos pixel by pixel.

Work in a clear and time-saving manner with the improved timeline:
AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate's timeline received some major upgrades. Now, with a simple click, you can create gridlines that help position and synchronize photos, text, and sounds.
Gridlines can be created during the preview mode with the space bar. This makes synchronizing your music and photos very easy.
We also changed the color codes of the different elements. Chapter elements no longer have special color, but Flexi-Collages are red and effects yellow.

Face recognition and intelligent clipping:
Automatic clipping was already available in the former versions of AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate. This serves to fit the aspect rations of a photo to the aspect ratio of the output display and prevents black bars at the edges. The new face recognition checks if and at what position the photos contain faces. This information will be used when you activate automatic clipping so faces will no longer be clipped.

AquaSoft SlideShow Ultimate has many other improvements and innovations, including the following aspects:
Integrated file browser – add your pictures without the pop up file dialogue
Faster video export – your graphic card is now used for image rendering

Transitions:
While the older versions of AquaSoft SlideShow already contained a virtually unlimited number of transitions (because each one could be customized), version 7 includes sixty-five completely new transitions, for a total of 130 standard transitions. Combined with the fact that each of these can be customized, anyone and everyone can find the transitions they need in version 7.

New Templates:
We wanted to make it even easier to design shows, so we added many more design elements (such as speech bubbles) to the toolbox and the SlideShow-Master. That way, you can create a themed presentation (wedding, party, baby shower, etc.) in either the 4:3 or the 16:9 formats with just a few clicks, and then add humorous touches such as speech bubbles, hats, or fake mustaches.

Better Timeline:
The timeline is key to organizing your work, and because of this, we have added new graphics and made the interface even more intuitive. It is now much easier to see an overview of your work, and the timeline functions more intuitively when repositioning objects. These improvements work together to help you evaluate your work with just a glance, and make adjustments swiftly.
Highlight your pictures with a new timeline design that makes them look better than ever
Know instantly whenever any special effects are applied to objects (pictures, music, videos, etc.) because small tags will appear
Enjoy better functionality with the Drag and Drop operation, especially when performing this action over a long distance
Appreciate heightened control over the timing of pictures: the timeline now displays pictures at the exact time in which they will appear
Experience improved presentation and manipulation of soundtracks—in version 7 they can be color-coded so that you can keep track of the exact time a new soundtrack starts
Feel the increased control over the zoom operation, as it is now featured as a slide controller

Enhanced Layout designer:
Next to the timeline, the layout designer is the most important tool for creating your presentations. In version 7, it shows the exact time and allows the playback of the show.
Replay your presentations directly through the layout designer: the time marker runs along the timeline and can be adjusted with the mouse to reach any position in the show
Watch a precise frame-by-frame playback in the layout designer
Enjoy pan shots in real time: this keeps your object in sight, whereas before, it would “disappear” when previewing it
Instantly see the order in which your pictures will appear—they are now displayed chronologically, instead of in preset groups
Increased Display quality:
Slideshow pictures’ displays are now even more highly defined than before, as their quality has only increased.
Instantly notice a dramatic increase in picture quality, especially in transitions containing rotating boxes (the antialiasing feature can be selected in the SlideShow-Player settings)
Animate the size of pictures without experiencing any annoying flickering
Animation and Composition:
While it is nice to have improved and easier handling, slide shows should also benefit from increased design possibilities. Now, text can flow snugly against movement paths, and pictures are always oriented correctly.
Watch your pictures, video, and words rotate automatically along the movement path
Appreciate the fine details of animation –text can nestle up letter by letter against the movement paths, even if they are not moving, as in textblock
Enjoy new text effect settings, such as the increased ability to manipulate the size and position of individual letters. In this manner, you can create wavy effects with letters, for example.
Better loading of pictures saves time with IntelliLoad 2 Next Generation:
In version 7, we outfitted our software with the next generation of IntelliLoad, which is the name of the process that loads your pictures in advance, helping you avoid any waiting while the pictures are loading.
Watch your show unfold flawlessly, as the IntelliLoad 2 Next Generation handles all the initializing and loading of elements—in the background—so your show no longer experiences breaks or jerks during playback
Appreciate the reduced CPU usage during playback, as it is only used when pictures are being initialized. (Instead, the graphic board handles nearly all the playback.) The software player also benefits from decreased workload, because objects are not being presented during breaks in animation.
Color Selection Dialogue:
The difference really is in the details! Our new color selection section is now more intuitive, and shares a few ideas with the Windows Standard Dialogue. For example, you can select colors more easily, save your own colors, and also assign the last color used to new objects.

The tool automatically remembers the last color you used, so it can easily be found for reuse with other objects
Improved Usability:
AquaSoft SlideShow version 7 handles routine actions with the greatest of ease, and sometimes even automatically. For example, pictures oriented uprightly will be automatically be rotated, and objects’ backgrounds automatically become transparent as soon as they are animated.
Avoid routine tasks, such as making objects’ backgrounds become transparent, or rotating pictures
Easily rotate pictures 90*(if they are not already positioned automatically) by using tools located directly in the pictures
Quickly change the aspect ratio to 16:10
Make adjustments with greater intuitiveness, because dozens of adjustment dialogues have been improved, eliminating past interface problems and time-wasting steps
Video editing:
Now, you can cut videos as soon as you start designing, allowing you to completely edit any part of your video.
Use these video clips and rotate them automatically along a movement path.
Edit videos more easily, because they can now be cropped at either end of the clip (version 6 allowed only for cropping at the end)
Saving your work:
Burn to a DVD, or export to another location, both with the support of AC3 sound
Preserve your work with higher quality, with a WMV-type bitrate and a compression of greater than 9,999 bit/sec possible
Employ a standard WMV compression with an even higher bitrate than the previous standard options
Toolbox:
In earlier editions, the toolbox allowed users to choose templates that were incompatible (under "Standard for Pictures"). This option has now been eliminated whenever it would be incompatible, and context menus have been reconfigured to eliminate any mishandling.
New right-click menu item "Apply/Insert" applies a transition, bitmap effect, path, or other special effect to all selected pictures
Menu items "Use as standard for picture/sound/video" have been moved to avoid accidentally selecting these items and making them the default. Furthermore, any menu items that are incompatible with the chosen environment are deactivated
Tabs are arranged at the top by default and can be displayed in rows. That way, even when space is limited, more templates can be seen, and all tabs remain accessible
