    May 15th, 2012

    · When searching the archive, the results are no longer loaded all at once. When scrolling the list, results are loaded as needed.

    · The conversion operation caused the delegate information to be lost, the items appeared as e-mail messages instead of tasks and appointments in some Outlook versions.
    · BugFix: A problem occurring when training the spam filter in the Outlook Addin has been fixed.
    · Several minor changes and improvements have been incorporated.

What's new in Exchange Server Toolbox 4.0.2:

    March 22nd, 2012

    · When using Exchange Server 2003 for outgoing messages only headers have been archived instead of the entire message.
    · A registration problem of the Outlook Addin has been fixed.

What's new in Exchange Server Toolbox 4.0:

    March 22nd, 2012

    · The backup can now be performed to a database (integrated database, Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL Server) in addition to the file system
    · The backup does now ensure the integrity of your archived mails by creating and checking against signatures. This is supported by an integrated database, alternatively Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL Server can be used. Additionally, an index of the archive is created, which is then employed to search the content of the backups. These mechanisms enable archiving compliant to the latest international electronic backup laws.
    · Backup search is now supported by a graphical user interface
    · Searching the archived mails is now supported by a graphical interface which allows you to define several search parameters. Searches are restricted to accessible emails of each user, i.e. messages you have sent/received and messages from mailboxes/mailing lists you have access to.
    · Outlook-Add-In for spam filter training and archive search
    · An Outlook Add-In can be installed on client PCs allowing a user to search the email archive. Users can use it to train the Exchange Server Toolbox to improve detection of spam and ham (false positive) mails via the integrated spam filter SpamAssassin. This will save your system administrators valuable time.
    · You are now able to create rules also for internal and outgoing messages for Exchange Server 2007/2010
    · The MMC snap-in of the Exchange Server Toolbox has been redesigned completely.
    · The MMC snap-in of the Exchange Server Toolbox now uses a more modern design and is based on Microsoft Management Console 3.0.
    · The integrated antivirus software ClamAV has been updated to the latest version (V0.97.3)
    · Added: New rule action "Replace header field" in rules engine
    · Replaces a mail header field including its value, e.g.: "X-MyHeader: My tag" may be replaced by "X-NewHeader: My value".
    · Added: New rule action "Replace in header source" in rules engine
    · Replaces any text in the mail header source. Instead of working on a single header field this action acts on the whole message header.
    · Added: New rule action "Replace in mail source" in rules engine
    · Replaces any text in the entire mail source including body, header, and attachments
    · Added: New rule action "Forward copy to SMTP server" in rules engine
    · This action allows you sending a copy of an email directly to any (external) SMTP server.
    · Added: New rule action "Delete mail from archive" in rules engine
    · This action removes messages from the backup archive. Please use with caution! Your messages will be unrecoverable. Using this rule may break German law.

    · On some systems unicode characters in rules may have been lost when saving the rules.

Using system codepage again for processing mails:
    · Wrong encoded mails are often correctly displayed by Outlook although they are wrong encoded because the system codepage is used for decoding. Now the Exchange Server Toolbox uses also the system codepage again instead of the new UTF8 standard.

    · Searching in the table columns was added and its speed has been improved. You are now also able to copy selected log entries.
    · The Exchange Server Toolbox for Exchange Server 2003 now also uses a spamd service.
    · The spamd service uses SpamAssassin V3.2.3 which is a lot newer than the previous used version of the sadll.dll.
    · The Exchange Server Toolbox for Exchange Server 2003 now also runs as a system service.
    · This improved the stability of the Exchange Server Toolbox.
    · The service of the Exchange Server Toolbox can now be started as a different use than the system service.

    · It is no longer necessary to convert Outlook MSG files using the external converter tool.
