March 6th, 2007This new release introduces a new updating mechanism, and includes all the patches submitted in the last 9 months. Windows and Linux users will find a new graphical user interface for the updating mechanism. The mail updating mechanism is still supported (create an account with domain @updater, and check this mailbox every day: you will receive a new mail when an update is performed). A list of smaller updates in random order follows:
· MacOSX: new installed made with iceberg; new .app, that can be started/stopped double clicking on the icon.
· LUA: moved all files to the lua5.1 syntax and module system
· Debian: the package now depends on several lua related libraries already available in the distribution; the package is splitted making the installation of the grphical updater optional, thus X11 is not required; fixed chroot jail
· Windows: the only build supported uses GnuTLS, it seems to work well
· Updater: Fltk based graphical user interface; completely new and modular mechanism that allows to update all lua files
