- Fixed problem with how the settings was depending on the system language. The problem caused the media player not to run at all on some systems.

- Version 0.7.0 never worked like it was supposed to because there where unfortunately too many bugs. Therefor we have spent much time to test this release so that not the same would happen again. A new thing in this release is the concept of plug-ins. Everything that isn’t directly connected to the playing media has been moved to plug-ins, that include the Movie Trailers, Video Library and Playlist.com Music Search. These plug-ins are no longer included but can easily be downloaded and installed from inside the player. Also there are 3 new plug-ins that are available for download.
- Goear – search and play music from the Spanish Goear music service.
- Podcasts – access a large database of popular pocasts, both video and audio.
- SongSearch – Find music using Baidu’s music search.

- Fixed these two annoying bugs plus a few other things:
- When trying to get video info whilst playing video, an exception was thrown.
- When adding files to play from explorer by double clicking on them it adds the first and starts playing, but throws an exception when the second file is added while the player is in minimized mode.

- The latest version of Kantaris has a unique new feature which to my knowledge no other player has, it can detect character encoding of subtitles by analyzing the text. This means that you never have to manually set the character encoding again. The feature is mainly for languages with “funny” characters, like Chinese.

- The focus has for the most part been on developing new features and less time has been spent on fixing bugs and cleaning up the code. This has led to that bugs have been piling up so now I thought it was time to really focus on the user experience and I hope you like the result. I could list all the fixes but it’s easier to just say that most if not all problems I’m aware of should be fixed. (knock on wood)

- This release is mostly a bug fix release so no real new features but a few have been polished a bit. I’ve also made a zip package for those that don’t want to use the installer. The package is completely portable and can be run from an USB memory stick or similar.
