Keyframe Animation Changelog

What's new in Keyframe Animation 2.5.0

Mar 29, 2023
  • Fixed a compatibility issue with SketchUp 2023. Keyframe Animation 2.5.0 now supports all versions of SketchUp from 2016 to 2023.
  • Removed dependence on a method that was deprecated in 2021.

New in Keyframe Animation 2.4.1 (Dec 17, 2021)

  • Made several improvements to the tweens:
  • Fixed a bug that computed the tween transition time incorrectly in some cases. This resulted in an incorrect frame rate for the tweens, which could cause noticable artifacts in an exported video. Now each tween for a moving object corresponds exactly to a frame in a video exported at the same frame rate.
  • Made the visibility of tween layers hidden by default. This is much more efficient and uses far less memory.
  • Raised the max frame rate for tweens to 120 fps.

New in Keyframe Animation 2.3.1 (Apr 12, 2021)

  • Fixed a bug that affected Layer Visibility when exporting a video. The layers toggled on and off at the END of the scene transition. Now, when you export a video, the layers toggle at the START of the scene transition, just like they do in the SketchUp scene animation.
  • Optimized the video export. It creates the images for the scene delay phase more quickly.

New in Keyframe Animation 2.2.1 (Jul 14, 2020)

  • New and Improved Tweens
  • The tweens were an important export feature in Keyframe Animation 1.9. We omitted the tweens in version 2.0, but have now brought them back in version 2.1+, and made them more functional, and efficient. For one thing, the new tweens play nice with ALL the SketchUp scene properties. Version 1.9 users can now upgrade to version 2.2 without sacrificing this (or any other) feature.

New in Keyframe Animation 1.6.2 (Apr 4, 2012)

  • This release fixed a bug that had been around since version 1.6.0. If there were any scenes (key frames) that did not save the Visible Layers property, it would cause a runtime error, which would prevent the tweens from being created. Now, that has been fixed, and you can create the tweens, whether you save the Visible Layers property on each scene or not.
