- Refresh Excel workbooks with Power Query connections (SQL and Oracle data source only):
- As an IT Administrator, you can use Power Query connection strings to configure on-premises data sources in the Admin Center. Excel workbooks with Power Query connections in data models can be refreshed with the Data Management Gateway.
- Currently, Power Query connections can contain SQL Server and/or Oracle databases only
- .NET Framework 4.5.1 is a prerequisite:
- With .NET Framework 4.5.1, you will no longer see a refresh failure containing an error message in the Windows event log as “This operation cannot be performed on a completed asynchronous result object”. For this release, .NET Framework 4.5.1 is required to set up a gateway.
