New in MuvAudio 3.0.2.0 (Jan 13, 2010)

  • Version History:
  • Fixed crash when multiple records of the same file were loaded when using the “Watch Folder(s)” mode (Error: “These columns don’t currently have unique values”).

  • Modified wording in Quick View Info Bar to be able to fit more settings information.

  • Modified “assessing system rating” to only run randomly 1 out of 10 times when starting conversions.

  • Modified R&R message text to reflect the interference being between another program and Windows and be detected for the German lanuage.
  • Fixed crash on startup due to encryption and the running of certain anti-virus programs (Spyware Doctor with Antivirus).
  • Fixed cases where WMP control would try to play a file that didn’t have a license from a source that doesn’t display the “Media Rights Acquisition” dialog which would cause the files to never get past initializing or it would cause the whole conversion process to stop.
  • Fixed encoder settings not going to default when you click “Restore Defaults” by forcing the options to close and making the user re-open it.
  • Fixed cleansing of output path not working in all cases. This fixes the most likely causes with the output file does not exist error! – thanks David
  • Fixed empty tooltip showing on “Recommend real-time conversion speed”.
  • Fixed iTunes detection failing on certain languages of the OS which would cause certain filetypes to automatically get added to the errored list when loading them.
  • Fixed conversion process sitting at x/x files processed when a large number of files threw errors (Media Usage Rights) which would cause all child processes but the first to stay open.
  • Fixed “Choose File(s)…” and “Choose Folder(s) to Watch” dialogs not saving their size.
  • Fixed the way the Repair (Enable/Install) and the Enable/Disable of the MuvEnum Virtual Cable worked to be more reliable.

New in MuvAudio 3.0.0.1 (Oct 19, 2009)

  • Support for Windows 7
  • Realtime conversions of up to 28x! That’s almost 200% faster than MuvAudio 2. The best part about this is that you don’t necessarily need a better computer to get these faster speeds. On the same hardware you should see an improvement of 25% to 200% for your conversion speed!
  • Straight transcoding (non-realtime conversion) speeds above and beyond 200x thanks to multi-processor and multi-core support.
  • Convert iTunes files, Windows Media Player files, and a bunch of other new file formats (50+) like APE, OGG, WV, etc. All without requiring any additional plugins.
  • A new user interface that greatly enhances the user experience. So long “console”; you won’t be missed.
  • A Windows Explorer “Send To” extension that lets you easily load files into MuvAudio from Windows Explorer.
  • Integration with MuvUnder Cover: The Album Art Sleuth
  • More output formats and more control over the output format settings.
  • And a bunch of things we’ve probably forgotten about that are just as exciting (we didn’t forget, we just believe it’s easier to show you how awesome MuvAudio 3 is rather than telling you, so go download it now!).

New in MuvAudio 2.9.8.1 (Mar 11, 2009)

  • Fixed a regression issue with spaces in the directory separator being removed from the output path; (artist - album) became (artist-album).

  • Modified the split track seconds field to store in the settings as the number rather than the index. Please verify your split track setting in the MuvAudio2 options as this fix may have caused it to be one less than you originally had set.

  • Fixed an issue with the console error details not storing the albumartist, for various artists, when saving the playlist.

New in MuvAudio 2.9.0.0 (Jul 4, 2007)

  • Added support for embedding the Album Art into WMA, FLAC, and MP4 formats in addition to the already supported MP3 format.
  • Added support for reading the file metadata and duration for a multitude of files that would normally default to 5 minutes (without them having to be added to your WMP library and having the tag reader plugin installed). This now more accurately reflects the completion time.
  • Added support for conversion from AAC files if appropriate WMP plugin is installed.
  • Added the setting of the AlbumArtist tag to allow for "Various Artists".
  • Changed the directory naming of the "Artist" selection to use the text of "Various Artists" if the file is part of a compilation (reports as "Various Artists"). This only affects the folder creation, the filename still gets the original artist name. This makes it so all file on a compilation don't get separate folders in the case where your folder structure uses the "Artist" field.
  • Updated the duration of files to round up to the nearest second so it doesn't underestimate the completion time.
  • Switched to using TagLib-Sharp (www.taglib-sharp.com) for the retrieving and setting of file tag information.
  • By switching to TagLib-Sharp, the time it takes to add files to the playlist has been decreased.
  • Fixed an issue with changing the MP4 plugin that allows conversion from MP4 and equivalent files not being detected.
  • Fixed activation screen saying you have entered an invalid activation code when trying to paste your registration name instead of activation code.
  • Fixed some miscellaneous issues with the "Add to Playlist" functionality.
