What's new in Ninotech Path Copy 4.0

  • Support for the Visual Styles introduced in Windows XP. This means that the graphical user interface of Path Copy matches the look of Windows XP
  • "Copy Short Folder" and "Copy Long Folder" menu items added to enable copy of the folder name of a file or a directory
  • "Menu" page added to the Setup dialog box. This allows the user to configure the Path Copy context menu. It is possible to configure which copy menu items that appear on the context menu. It is also possible to make the menu items appear on the root of the context menu of the Windows Explorer instead of on the Path Copy submenu
  • - Right-click the menu items in the list on the "Menu" page to configure their location and visibility
  • By default the "Copy Short..." menu items don't appear on the Path Copy context menu. Use the "Menu" page in the Setup dialog box to show them
  • A fifth user defined copying method added
  • The user defined copying methods support enclosing the copied path in quotation marks. Enable this feature from the Setup dialog box
  • It is possible invoke the quotation marks feature for all menu item by pressing and holding down the SHIFT key while choosing the menu item in the Windows Explorer context menu
  • Online help updated
  • Corrected problem with copying the UNC path of an item on the local computer located in a folder that is shared. If the item's folder is also located in a shared folder, it was arbitrary which of the two folder share names that was used to construct the UNC path
  • "Copy Short UNC Path", "Copy Long UNC Path", and "Copy Internet Path" are now grayed out in the context menu if an UNC path cannot be constructed
  • Corrected problem with copying the UNC path of items in a Windows Terminal Server session
