New in PCFerret Pro 2.2.1.1418 (Mar 2, 2015)

  • New Module – Browser Media: This module retrieves and identifies images and movies currently stored in the six top browsers’ cache, on a per user basis.
  • New Module – Cached URLs: This module is designed to retrieve all URLs from files currently stored in the six top browsers’ cache on a per user basis. Suspect URLs will be highlighted in different colors, depending on the classification and the user’s own definitions. Both of the modules are feature rich, and compatible with the latest versions of the following browsers: Firefox, IE, Chrome, Opera, Safari and SeaMonkey.
  • Context menu added to Quick System Details and additional item added to Full System Details modules in order to allow the copying of text
  • The SID (Security Identifier) is now displayed within the Operating System details section of the Full System Details module’s report
  • Analyze File icon changed to blue, information circle. This is to avoid confusion with the password generator icon
  • Options screen redesigned
  • Help file updated

  • The Welcome tab has been replaced with the Quick System Details tab. This allows users to see the basic configuration of the host PC without having to wait for the Full System Details report to be generated. It is a run-and-read report.
  • The help file has been updated.
  • PCFerret’s new logo has been incorporated.

  • EXIF Information is now extracted from image files and included in the File Analysis Report.
  • The View File option now has improved scaling for large images.
