What's new in Pulmon 2.1

  • Fixed and Updated User Interface: We have updated the user interface of the Pulmon in this version for making it easy to use and all the complexity has been removed.
  • Removed Useless Features: In this version, we have removed some useless features like get involved, media player etc.
  • Ultra lightweight: Pulmon 2.0 was of 3.8 MB which is a huge size. In this version, through some optimization and removal of useless features, we have make it very much lightweight. The size of ZIP file of Pulmon 2.1 is 831 KB which is 80% less than previous version's size
  • Bundle of Bug Fixes: In this version, we have fixed a bundle of bugs. If you have used Pulmon 2.0 and will now use this version, you will find it much smooth and less buggy.
  • Mozilla Firefox Tile: In the mozilla firefox tile, you can now specify the path of Mozilla Firefox to prevent errors which you came across in previous version.
  • Improved Tiles: Each and every tile has been changed in some way whether it is font, appearence or features. Most of the tiles have been improved in appearence.
  • Customization In Webby Tile: Webby tile links to some tech sites which were not customizable in previous version. Now by right clicking and clicking 'Options', you will get a window in which you can customize the tech sites.
  • Shutdown Manager Tile: This tile gets a new look including fixes for some functions not working.
  • Brand New Gradients: Gradients play a key role in how the tile appears. We have optimized almost all tiles for a great viewing pleasure.
  • Fixed Desktop Tile: Users reported that desktop tile is not working in Windows 8. But we have fixed it to work in every OS. Now it should work for all.
  • Improved Settings: Settings in this version has been tweaked to a great extent. Now you don't need to use 'Repair Pulmon' option.
  • Optimization for different DPIs: Till Pulmon 2.0, all the versions were not optimized for different DPIs. But Pulmon 2.1 brings a great optimization for different resolutions and different DPIs.

New in Pulmon 2.0 (Nov 8, 2011)

  • Splash Screen has been added to Pulmon. Now Pulmon will start with a metro splash screen
  • Changed Background – Background color of Pulmon has been changed to the metro color “Dodger Blue”
  • We worked on Pulmon 2.0 a lot and fixed some issues
  • Metro UI Colors – We tried our best to select master Metro UI colors for tiles. Now tiles have Metro UI colors
  • Improved Stability – In the previous release, Microsoft Office Suite Tile and BUILD Tile were unstable. But now they are stable and can be used as you use other tiles
  • We have added a “Get Involved!” button in Pulmon to directly involve in Pulmon Project. By pressing this button, Pulmon will open the default E-mail client. You, then, can send us a mail about involvation
  • The sizes of tiles have been decreased to increase flexibility for the users
  • We have implented Windows 8 style tiles e.g. Internet Explorer, Control Panel and BUILD tiles
  • Now the default background is of Windows 8 default start screen backround
  • You will get a Metro Menu in fullscreen mode. Just click on User Avatar and see the action. It offers to restart and shutdown the computer and it also offers to change user avatar
  • Storage tile has been updated and now you can select any drive by using Storage Options in right click menu
  • “Zuro” tile is a new tile for Pulmon. It opens Zuro (A web browser based on Metro UI and Immersive UI) when a user double-click on it
  • “Desktop” tile shows the current desktop background
  • Added error handling code for the exceptions
  • “Mozilla Firefox” tile is now “Mozilla Aurora” tile. Works only with Mozilla’s Aurora Channel
  • We have updated Shutdown Manager tile and System Information tile. They were looking ugly but now they are looking very good with a brand new look
  • We just fixed some tool-tip issues
  • We applied Metro UI on Storage Settings and Zuro Settings

New in Pulmon 1.0 Beta 5 (Aug 29, 2011)

  • Calendar is a new widget which shows name of month and date.
  • Pulmon Homepage is a simple widget for the quick access to new updates.
  • Google Search is a very cool and simple widget allows you to search the contents over the web.
  • Storage is a very nice widget allows you to see info about drives with a cool Progress Bar.
  • Improved Fullscreen Mode – Fullscreen mode is now very similar to Windows 8 fullscreen view.
  • Changed main window size.
  • Settings option has been changed and now with more options and details.
  • Every single tile has been changed.
  • Sizes are now similar of almost all tiles.
  • Improved the contents of each tile
  • Tiles color can be changed by Settings – Customize Themes. 8 options are given. You can see some of them in the given screenshot. This is the most delicious feature of this version.
  • The most awaited feature was of saving locations of the tiles.

New in Pulmon 1.0 Beta 3 (Aug 2, 2011)

  • User Widget Problem Fixed
  • Custom Widget has been added to the list. It means you can pin apps. But only 1 trial widgets has been added, not unlimited. I will increase the number of custom widgtes in future versions. You can configure its settings by right click on it and then choose “Settings”. The default program is windows notepad
  • Full Background Option has been added! Full screen background will allow you to take control over tiles very smoothly with beautiful Purple color. You can use it by clicking “Settings” on the main window. There are some problems in input.
  • Clipboard Manager is a widget provided by Pulmon Beta 3 which will allows you to see the current text on clipboard. It also allow you to clear clipboard. If you have large amount of text on clipboard then click on the place where you see the few text. It will show you full text using a dialog box
  • Start Menu Launcher is a simple launcher of Start Menu. Just double click on the tile to open start menu
  • Run on Startup or not – Now Pulmon supports whether the user wants to run this on startup or not. You can alter the settings by clicking “Settings” on the main window.
  • Icons of tiles are replaced with beautiful icons.
  • Font has been changed to Segoe UI Light (Of tile text).
  • Clock now show only hours and minutes.
  • Error Image for User Widget has been added.
  • Altered the view of Control Panel Widget
  • More info’s have been added to System Information Widget.
  • A warning dialog box on closing has been added to save accidentally closing.
