See Through Windows Changelog

What's new in See Through Windows 1.0.8

Jan 31, 2024
  • It is now a self-contained .NET 8-app, so no .NET download is required. 32-bit only. New in this version: automatic update checks and a button to restore all windows - i.e. cancel all transparency.

New in See Through Windows 1.0.7 (Jan 16, 2022)

  • Version 1.0.7 is based on .NET 6.0, and will only run on Windows 7 and up. It is now a self-contained .NET 6-app, so no .NET download is required. The downside is a significantly larger download (>50MB). Functionally, nothing was changed since version 1.0.6, except that the hotkeys for moving windows around are now disabled by default. This release is 32-bit only for now.

New in See Through Windows 1.0.6 Beta (Feb 6, 2015)

  • The See Through Windows Options screen is now DPI-aware, i.e. if you have large fonts enabled it will still look good
  • Two new hotkeys have been added: Control+Windows+PageUp and Control+Windows+PageDown. These will change the transparency of the active window in small steps. There is no need to press the 'transparenticizing' hotkey first.

New in See Through Windows 1.0.5 (Feb 6, 2015)

  • Added option to make windows "Click-Through" and/or keep them on top of other windows. Very useful to have a semitransparent window float over your desktop, as watermarks, for tracing over, etc.

New in See Through Windows 1.0.3 (Feb 6, 2015)

  • Added Control to Windows+(Up/Down/Left/Right) to avoid conflicts with Windows 7 built-in hotkeys.

New in See Through Windows 1.0.2 (Feb 6, 2015)

  • Press a hotkey to make the current window transparent, allowing you to see through it! Press hotkeys to minimize/maximize the current window, or to send it to another monitor (like Windows 7, except also if you don't have Windows 7)
