December 11th, 2008· New Features
Netbios Support:
· Full support for Netbios name and network discovery. A computer connected via WallCooler can now access remote computers by name (ping, file sharing, servers, etc..). Windows network discovery (network neighbourhood, printer detection) are also supported.
DNS & WINS Support:
· (Pro & Enterprise)
· WallCooler with Professional or Enterprise services can now authorize connecting users to have their DNS and WINS servers set automatically.
G & Wifi full support:
· Users with 3G, Wifi, modem or any other PPP card do not need to do any further configuration anymore.
· WallCooler will automatically work over PPP connections.
Broacast & Gaming support:
· All versions now support UDP/ICMP broadcasts. This is used by many Games and network applications and thus enables gamers to play LAN games over WallCooler.
Support for connected users to see each other:
· (Pro & Enterprise)
· When multiple connections are made to a remote computer (using the same account on WallCooler pro or different users on WallCooler Enterprise), each connected computer can access other computers connected via WallCooler.
· Bug Fixes
DHCP improvements:
· Infinite lease support, multiple DHCP server support, single IP per MAC support.
Password protection:
· Additional password protection supported on all types of account (not just Enterprise).
Auto-connect:
· Auto-connect supported on all types of account (not just Standard).
· WallCooler can now be asked to automatically connect to a remote network when it becomes available.
August 16th, 2008· If the name of the remote computer cannot be resolved, the IP address is automatically used instead to launch RDP or file sharing.
· In some cases, a memory leak occured after several connections, preventing WallCooler from working properly after several days.
· Two computers on the same network with WallCooler using 169.254.22.4 disconnect each other.
December 10th, 2007· Multiple connections support: WallCooler can now accept multiple connections from different users and/or locations. Available on professional & Enterprise accounts
· Data Compression: Compression of all data transferred when possible. Improves throughput drastically (up to 10x) on uncompressed data.
· User permissions: Configure each authorized user permissions on your local network.
· Console security: When WallCooler is running, only the signed in user can access the console to update WallCooler. Authentication is now required to open the console.
· Identical Network connection support: WallCooler now works on identical networks (networks sharing the same IP addressing, but not connected together). Also works on two computers on the same network (same physical networks)
· Improved geographic coverage: We have greatly improved our geographic coverage, especially in Asia & Oceania. The US and Europe have also been largely improved.
· Automatic Reconnection: WallCooler automatically recovers from temporary connectivity loss. This ensures a smooth use even on unstable internet connections.
· Improved PPP card management: WallCooler properly detects the installed Loopback adapter when working with a PPP Adapter (3G). Note: MS Loopback Adapter still required.
· Improved performances & responsiveness: Several changes have been made to improve performances.
· DHCP Management: Fixed issues related to DHCP address leases and renewals.

· Support for Windows 2003: Windows 2003 Server & Enterprise are fully supported.
· Remote Computer IP Address can now be used to connect: Until now, only the address assigned on the local network could be used
· Computer addresses on the remote network are detected automatically: Accessing a computer on the remote network by IP is now instantaneous
· Faster remote computer detection: DNS requests and IP Address belonging to a different network are detected in half the previous time.
· Reduce memory (RAM) usage: Roughly reduced by 20% vs 1.0.
· Improved local Network Address assignment: A local IP address is assigned locally only when necessary (eg: no need to try on a public network).
· Network card detection: Bugs when WC was not able to detect a network card although a card was there (rare).
· Detect the local adapter before connecting: Only attempt a connection to the remote WallCooler if a supported Network Adapter is found locally.
· Update account info upon Bridge connection attempt: User account panel information (account type, bandwidth) is updated every time a Bridge connection is attempted.
