What's new in Weather1 8.14 Beta:

· Major enhancements to the weather warning logic.
· Weather1 Task Bar is no longer supported and was removed from Weather1.
· Many minor fixes and enhancements.
· Improvements so that Weather1 can eventually run as a portable application from a USB flash drive or portable hard drive.
· NOTE: After vs. 8.10, Weather1 no longer uses the Windows registry to store user preferences. Instead, they are stored in the Weather1.ini file. This will aid in Weather1 being able to run from a portable USB flash drive, etc. Weather1 will automatically move user preferences from the Windows registry to the Weather1.ini file for you, and will then clean those from the registry.
· Warning: If after installing 8.10 or later, should you decide to return to an older version, the user preferences will no longer exist since older versions require they be in the Windows registry.

What's new in Weather1 8.00.1 Beta:

· There's only one window to select locations (official or personal weather stations)
· There's no longer a treeview to select locations. Now, you simply "search" for a location. You can search by city, state, zip, lat/lon, etc. The search results will show you both the nearest Official weather reporting stations and Personal Weather Station
· Old locations may not work - you may have to rechoose them. You will get a message if you need to reselect them
· Minor fixes to temperature (voice) announcement logic
· Local radar was removed from the Forecast tab and is now larger and on the Main location tab. This is not available for all locations worldwide
· Local radar is also shown for Personal weather station locations. This is not available for all locations worldwide
· When selecting a Personal Weather Station, Weather1 will automatically choose the nearest Official Weather Reporting Station to include any additional data that the Personal Weather Station may not provide (such as Visibility, Clouds, UV, Record High, etc
· On the "Saved Locations" tab, if you double-click a Personal Weather Station, it will now launch your web browser and show you the forecast for that area

· "Saved Locations" tab has a new, manual "Update" button. This tab is also automatically set to update about every 30 minutes.
· Warnings tab also has a new, manual "Update" button so you can manually get an update at any time for the local warnings in your area (U.S. only)
· New option when choosing a Personal Weather Station (PWS location), you can now choose the location to get the missing/additional data as well as the official forecast. See Preferences window, under the Conditions tab.
· Record high and Record low now include the year of the record high and low.
· Removed temperature gauge (until I can provide something better)

· Fix to Windows shutdown issue. Weather1 should close properly when the user does a Windows shutdown/logoff. This is actually a Microsoft OS bug so I've had to create a work-around.
