What's new in iDump Professional (formerly iDump Classic Pro) 4.5.0.0

Aug 29, 2016
  • Added: support for iTunes 12 and iOS 9.
  • Added: Source and Destination header to the main window. Less confusing for some users.
  • Added: Updated the help file to include information on how to resolve iTunes XML issues with iTunes version 12.2 or newer.
  • Added: Action->Recover lost device media. This option will check attached device (iPod, iTouch, iPad, iPhone) for media which is not in the device database but uses up the device storage. It will copy the file to PC and run audio analysis to obtain title and artist information.
  • Fixed: iTunes source panel would be disabled if no playlists were available but tracks existed.
  • Fixed: Exporting with conversion of a DRM protected .m4p file resulted in the copy not completing. The program will only copy an .m4p file and ignore any conversion request.
  • Fixed: Running the program with no iPods connected could cause the Source Explorer tab to get focus and not allow access to other tabs.
  • Changed: Source iPod panel-> 2 custom playlists defined for Location. For attached iOS device (iPhone, iTouch, iPad), playlists drop down replaced with Device and Cloud. Tracks with location of file found on device will be shown under the Device playlist and tracks not found on the device are shown as in the cloud (do not exist physically on the device). To resolve this issue, disconnect the device, play the track or album on the device and reconnect to iDump and try again. You can also try the new “Action->Recover lost device media” option.
  • Changed: Renamed iDump Professional to iDump Pro.
  • Removed: Destination iPod panel. This feature is not used very often by iDump Pro users so has been depreciated in this version.
