Batch Image Converter

As the name of this program suggests, Batch Image Converter allows you to change the file extension of your images in batch mode. The tool can be easily used by novices.

The interface of Batch Image Converter is based on a plain and simple window in which you can import pictures by using either the file browser, treeview or "drag and drop" method.

In the list you can check out the source path of each file. All you have to do is specify the output destination and file extension, in order to proceed with the conversion task.

You can clear the list. During conversion, a window pops up in which you can check out the status of each file, along with a progress bar.

The simple-to-use software takes up a low amount of system resources (which can be barely noticed), quickly finishes a task and manages to keep a good image quality after conversion. No errors have occurred during our tests and Batch Image Converter did not freeze or crash. There is no help file available but it is not necessary.

On the other hand, the features offered by Batch Image Converter are pretty limited. For example, you cannot make any image modifications for the new formats (e.g. adjust the JPG quality). Plus, the interface needs a complete makeover, since it's outdated. But, even so, we recommend Batch Image Converter to all users who prefer a straightforward tool, especially beginners.
