Echoc

If you tried controlling your Pc through command lines,  it is inevitable that you tried using the Windows OS's default command console. Regardless of what version and how old your Windows OS is, the command console looks pretty much the same, which in itself can be a drawback to younger users. One aspect to reinforce this idea is that the white-on-black writing style can become rather boring and tiresome for the eyes, especially when working with extensive commands and lists. That is where Echoc comes into play, as it is a colored version of the standard Windows command console.

Some of the main features that this app boasts is the ability to set a background color, set foreground color, and print newlines. Now you can attribute each command or set of command a singular color, allowing for much easier identification when going back to review what has already been written. More so, text rows and columns can be colored independently from one another, making identification even easier, especially if you are working with long lists.

Echoc comes however with the same limitations as typical command consoles, meaning that you have to learn the commands by heart and that all progress is lost upon closing the command console window. More so, the visuals are still designed in an 8-bit fashion, so young users may find just the addition of colors to be rather lacking.

While Echoc may not bring much to the table beside the ability to set a background color, set foreground color, and print newlines, and color text rows and columns individually, it can still be a good alternative to the standard Windows OS command console.
