HTML Colors

Designing visual elements for computer applications, video games, or web pages may seem like a lot of fun, but there are tons of details which need to be taken into consideration. For instance, the computer doesn’t read colors like you do, so the right code needs to be provided, and you can easily generate one with HTML Colors.

The main window shows up on launch with a large palette of options at your disposal so you get an idea of what can be accomplished. The set of controls is also visible, and you can choose to hide all options to make the interface compact, easy to move around the desktop, and small enough to fit anywhere.

A preview area shows the currently selected color, and clicking it brings up the default color selection screen to fully customize the tint you wish to generate the code for. In fact, every tint in the preview area instantly show the Hexadecimal value, decimal, as well as RGB values which can be manually copied to clipboard.

There are a few options you can use to your advantage. For instance, you can choose the set of values to be automatically sent to clipboard once a color is selected. Moreover, a # symbol can be automatically added to the HEX value so it’s supported in HTML coding, or the possibility to configure a custom combination of keys to launch the color palette.

For more comfort, the application can be set to automatically run with Windows, and stay on top of any other window. Sadly, you need to manually define colors because of the lack of a dropper tool to pick a tint from screen, which would have really come in handy.

Bottom line is that HTML Colors is a reliable method of obtaining the HTML, or RGB color code of a custom tint. Although there’s no option to pick any color on screen, the application is intuitive enough, and defining a color all by yourself is not a difficult task.
