Have elevator music or a custom list of songs play whenever progress bars or splash screens show up on the desktop to make waiting a bit more comfortable. #Play music #Elevator music player #Listen elevator music #Play #Player #Listen
Waiting isn’t really a thing someone is fond of, but this somewhat activit is encountered in an abundance of domains of activity. For instance, you might have to wait until particular files are downloaded or transferred, but applications like Instant Elevator Music come to make waiting a bit easier, by playing elevator music.
Setup takes little time, and you’re even offered to have the application launched right after installation is over. Don’t worry if nothing shows up on the desktop, because it always stays in the tray area, automatically performing its core function. You can also manually trigger it to play songs, in case you enjoy elevator music.
Interacting with the tray icon toggles playback, while the context menu provides access to a list of properties. These make it possible to select the target programs for which to enable playback, whether or not to run the application on Windows startup, set up the playlist, configure items to ignore, as well as a set of volume and behavior related options.
By default, the application is configured to start playing elevator music every time a progress bar shows up on the screen, or in other words, whenever you need to wait. It’s able to target third-party programs like web browsers, download managers, as well as splash screens from Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, Eclipse, or Adobe Photoshop.
Sadly, you can’t really configure the application to target anything other than items inside the default configuration. There’s the possibility to add more songs to the playlist, and choose to ignore playback whenever you’re using apps like Foobar, iTunes, or Winamp to listen to songs. A pretty disturbing thing is that interacting with the tray icon brings up the web help page every time.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Instant Elevator Music wants to make waiting a bit more comfortable by playing calming tunes, or a custom set of songs. Although it comes with a decent list of applications it can target, you don’t have the possibility to fully configure when it starts playing music.
