Whether you are reading a long article or taking notes during a presentation, then you surely don’t need your PC toggling on the screensaver or entering idle mode and making you lose pace.

With a name that speaks for itself, No Screen Saver or, as it is also called on the developer’s website, Mouse Jiggler, is a simple yet handy software utility that can simulate mouse movements so that the computer screen stays on.

The application is portable, meaning that no installation is required to use it. You simply double-click on the downloaded executable file to launch it. Keep in mind that a standard GUI is not available. Instead, you should look for No Screen Saver in the system tray area, where it silently runs, so that it does not interfere with your work.

There is no need for complicated configurations or going through settings. No Screen Saver automatically simulates mouse cursor movements once every 10 seconds, preventing the screensaver from kicking in, even if you step away from the PC.

It is worth noting that the mouse movements are so smooth and unobtrusive, that you should be able to use your mouse even while No Screen Saver is running in the background.

There are not too many settings to deal with, but No Screen Saver ca be configured to automatically start with Windows and automatically stop the timer and exit the program after a user-defined number of minutes. To put it another way, you can configure it to move the mouse and block the screensaver for a particular amount of time, all to cater to your needs.

No Screen Saver is one of those tiny apps that you might want to have around in certain situations. Its unnoticeable way of working in the background makes it appealing but, on the other hand, you could just simply disable the screensaver in circumstances that require you to do so.
