Sort pictures by moving them from your camera to custom folders, rename them in the process, and remove those you don't need . #Image sorter #Sort picture #Image viewer #Organizer #Sorter #Sort
Since most mobile phones are fitted with powerful cameras, you surely take a lot of pictures when on a trip. Unfortunately, it is a pain to organize them in different collections on your computer, or at least without the right application. In this regard, Plumeria Image Sorter wants to help you sort your pictures in custom locations with little effort.
On the visual side of things, the window you work in is intuitive enough to allow quick accommodation to individuals of all levels of experience. A side navigation panel lets you easily browse through folders in a tree list, while files inside the selected location are shown in a dedicated pane.
Most of the space, however represents the preview area, but it’s empty until you select a picture from the list. Navigation gets a little tricky this way, because using arrow keys doesn’t function in a similar manner to the default Windows picture viewer. The preview is simple, and there’s no built-in component to run a slideshow.
Operations at your disposal might leave more to be desired. On the one hand, the application is only capable of moving, renaming, or deleting pictures, with an option to resize, but devoid of any input fields. On the other hand, drag and drop is not supported, which means all operations need to be triggered through dedicated controls, and might take some time to process a large collection.
No new folders can be created, but there are a few locations you can send pictures to. There’s also the option to launch a custom image editor at the press of a button, and you can select it from the options menu.
In conclusion, Plumeria Image Sorter comes with good intentions, but is heavily underprepared to help manage a large collection of pictures. The lack of support for drag and drop inside the navigation panels is frustrating, while the shallow set of features can make you look for alternatives.
