iTag

iTag is a simple software application which allows you to add title, description and keyword tags to your multimedia files.

The installation runs very fast and also installs third party software. The main window has all the important functions attached to different icons on the top menu bar. To start the process you have to load a directory or a particular file and then browse to the item. The thumbnail size for the added media can be adjusted using a top slider.

Geocode can be applied using the top menu icon or right clicking the image and selecting the option from the drop down list. The next step is to add the Google Earth Placemarks in KML or KMZ format. Moreover, the image can be opened using Google Earth, windows explorer on the default viewer for the system. If necessary the date taken for the media file can be adjusted to a custom value or have the time shifted forward or backward by days, hours, minutes or seconds. The file path can be copied from the app using the right click action on the media file.

The same action can copy metadata to clipboard or paste variables like title, description, tags. A rating can be set to the media based on your preferences. The "Tag Manager" holds source and destination information, and new or old data can be added or removed using the plus or minus icons. A quick scan can be run for all of your favorite media files, using a few mouse clicks. All of the tags can be added easily by the smaller window in the left of the working area. It can add a title, description, date, author, copyright and common tags.

iTag is a small utility, handy for anyone who wants to have their media files tagged for copywrite reasons or simply to have important informations incorporated.
