Getting online is no sophisticated task, especially with all the intuitive browsers that are fitted with an abundance of features that make it easy even for a complete beginner to figure out what’s going on. Some have managed to make a name for themselves over the years, while others like myBrowser attempt to focus more on practicality, than feature richness.

Although you go through a setup process, this is only to unpack the application files, and can even be deployed on a USB flash drive. This enables you to have all your favorite pages with you, while the computer you use it on isn’t affected in any way, because registries don’t need to be modified for things to work.

When launched, a rather confusing main window shows up, with several elements you might recognize from other web browsers, such as the URL field in the upper toolbar. However, the general design feels rough around the edges, and it can take some time before you can get acquainted with all features.

In order to provide more flexibility, the application lets you visit multiple pages at the same time in several ways. This is done either in different tabs, or separate instances of the application which are mentioned as browsers. However, choosing this last method lets you configure general options like history tracker for each of them.

Favorite pages can be bookmarked to later on access with ease, and you can also add notes in case the name of the website doesn’t quite ring a bell. Unfortunately, myBrowser isn’t really up to date with web technology used, and there’s a high chance that some of your favorite web pages aren’t supported at all.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that myBrowser comes with good intentions, but the road it takes to deliver its set of features is not only uncommon, but pretty difficult to understand and use on the long run. What’s more, speed leaves more to be desired, and so does content support, which cuts out most of its overall practicality.
