Battery Meter

Gadgets are a simple way to customize your computer. But apart from looking good on the desktop these lightweight programs also offer you fast access to frequently used applications or important system information.

Battery Meter is one of these gadgets, designed especially for laptop devices, as it allows its users to permanently monitor the charge level, directly from the desktop screen.

Once you install the application, a battery symbol appears on the Windows sidebar, enabling you to move it to any location on your screen.

Different shapes are available for changing the appearance of the gadget, such as spheres and actual batteries. The symbol size can also be changed. After choosing the desired shape, you just have to press 'OK' and the new battery indicator appears. You can modify the skin by simply double clicking on the indicator.

As the battery level lowers, each indicator alerts you in its own way. Nevertheless, the majority change color to red or display a warning sign.

In addition to this, you can configure it to display the remaining time until the battery is empty. Thus, you can always know how much time you have left to save your work before having to connect your PC to a power source.

The context menu offers you access to other options, such as changing the meter's opacity and displaying it on top of every other window.

Battery Meter is a small, yet handy tool, as you don't need to look in the system tray to find out how much time you have left until the battery is empty and the laptop shuts down.
