DeadAIM was written to remove those annoying adverts from AOL's Instant Messenger Version 4 and higher. DeadAIM is not effected by the resizing of the AIM window, the ads stay removed. By selecting what parts of your buddy list are shown you can remove the clutter that does nothing but take up space on your screen. Here are some examples.
