Inbit Messenger is a secure instant messaging client designed for enterprise users in order to help them share files, images and other documents, chat with other colleagues and take screenshots. Administrators can use Inbit Messenger Server for fully controlling the client version and logging data.

The application gives you the possibility to connect to your corporate server by providing information about the domain name or IP address and port number. You can connect to the 24im network by entering the group ID.

The GUI of this IM client looks the same as other similar software programs. You can check out lists with online and offline contacts, view contacts’ photos, set your status, change your image avatar, broadcast a popup message, and compose an email.

The chat display is customizable and you can show or hide your photo, unread email messages, as well as other users’ photos.

Changing the looks of the GUI can be done by applying several color schemes. You can also configure your profile by adding details about the name, personal address, phone number, and email address.

You are allowed to start private charts, insert emoticons, send files, quickly send preset messages, invite another user to join the chat, pause/resume incoming messages, enter or create a chat room, activate attention messages, block users, and check out chat history.

Other important features worth being mentioned enable you to generate workgroups, take screenshots by capturing the entire screen, window or user-defined region, get alerts upon new messages, configure the text displayed in the chat in terms of colors, and automatically send messages when starting/leaving a chat room.

Inbit Messenger accommodates several handy features for helping you communicate with other corporate users. On the downside, it hasn’t been updated for a while so you can make use of its capabilities especially on older operating systems, such as Windows 2K, XP, Vista and 2003.
