Portable AMP Font Viewer

This is the portable edition of AMP Font Viewer, a font manager that supplies users with a comfortable interface and intuitive options for viewing, editing, removing and adding fonts.

Since there is no setup pack involved, you can extract the program files to any location on the hard disk and just click the executable to run.

An alternative is to save AMP Font Viewer to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine with minimum effort and no prior installers.

What's more, the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and files do not remain on the HDD after program removal.

The interface consists of two normal windows. One displays all installed fonts by categories, while the other is filled with management options.

A list with all fonts can be scrolled, and it has a real-time search function. You can preview the fonts and edit properties when it comes to emphasis, size and colors, as well as switch to ANSI display mode.

Another panel lets you easily install selected fonts (temporarily or not) and view their folders, while an Explorer-based folder structure is put at your disposal for a simplified navigational experience. It is also possible to edit font categories.

When it comes to program settings, you can set AMP Font Viewer to delete fonts marked as read only, change the UI font color, background color and font size, alter the default sample text, number of columns and font size for the font list, and so on.

The tool uses minimal CPU and RAM, has a good response time and performed smoothly in our tests, without hanging, crashing or popping up error dialogs. We have not come across any issues. Too bad that AMP Font Viewer has not been updated for a while.
