Product Key Informer

Product Key Informer is a handy piece of software created to show computer information and the Windows product key.

We’ve seen plenty of similar products, so Product Key Informer must come with something really interesting to take the lion’s share in this particular software category.

And it is, as the program is capable not only of showing product keys, but also of saving them in a separate database for later access.

The plain and simple GUI is being used to show computer name, default user, CPU name and speed, Windows version, but also the installed Office products. As for the product keys, it displays such information for Windows, Office XP, Office 2003, Office 207 and Internet Explorer.

Product Key Informer can retrieve the same information for network computers, but keep in mind that you need administrator access to these systems.

The “Saved Information” tab is the one that provides access to the previously exported details, as the app offers support for an unlimited number of profiles.

Product Key Informer doesn’t hamper system performance and it works okay on all Windows versions, but administrator access is needed on Windows 7 workstations.

To sum up, Product Key Informer is a tool that serves its purpose and, what’s more, it does it through a very well-organized interface. Feature updates are still needed however, including exporting tools to save the data to local disks.
