RadLight Filter Manager

RadLight Filter Manager is a simple software utility which enables you to bring up DirectShow filters properties, copy their CLSID to the Clipboard and adjust their merit values.

You are not required to go through the installation process, as this application is portable. This means that if you place the program files to an external data device, you can take it everywhere with you and run it on any computer you come in contact with, on the fly.

Another important aspect that you need to take into consideration is that, unlike installers, the Windows registry and hard drive are not going to be updated with new entries without your approval, and no leftovers will remain after their removal.

The interface you come across is quite well-organized and simple, as it only contains a few buttons and some tabs that enable you to access all available options with great ease. Although Help contents are not supported, it is quite easy to get around it for all user categories, including those with little or no previous experience with computers.

All detected DirectShow filters are going to be displayed in the first tab, as a tree view. Once you select one, it is possible to register and unregister it, bring up properties in a different window, copy the Class ID to the Clipboard and go to the folder using Windows File Explorer.

In addition to that, you can change the merit value with the help of the built-in drop-down menu and save all configurations to a TXT list to the hard drive. It is possible to create a blacklist and view logs and clear them.

To wrap it up, RadLight Filter Manager is a pretty useful piece of software. The interface is suitable to all types of users, the response time is good, the CPU and memory usage is minimal and we did not detect any kind of errors or bugs in our tests.
