Startup Sentinel might look like this simple application without many purposes, but don't get fooled by its simplistic look. It can help many individuals rid their machines of intrusive startup applications and processes that make no sense other than clogging your PC with useless junk. There really isn't much to it if you come to think about it, other than this feature, but it's enough to convince careful individuals of its true potential.

Startup processes can begin to accumulate especially after installing a bunch of third-party software. These programs leave behind many bits and pieces that only slow down your machine after they've been removed for good. This was a bigger issue in the past when SSDs did not exist and too many processes starting up when your OS launched meant hundreds of seconds of waiting for your PC to become functional. Still, even with technology improving, one must care for any machine that has useless processes running on it.

The easiest thing to do is create a Whitelist when your operating system is still fresh. That way, you can keep track of what is good and bad, weeding out the parts you find are dangerous or could even leave enough way for malware to infiltrate. Simply right-click on an entry, when the app has loaded, and select to add it to Whitelist. The opposite function will either have you remove these entries or add them to Blacklist. The app will know if ever you have to deal with similar useless programs again and remove them before you even see them yourself.

With an application as powerful as this, it's easy to mess things up. If you delete a certain useful process, you might just end up ruining your OS. If you're careful enough, though, this shouldn't happen. Still, if you do realize in due time that you've removed or blacklisted something that is useful, right-click that entry and run it immediately in order for your operating system to function as intended. Readding the process to your Whitelist should also do the trick.

Startup Sentinel is an easy-to-get application. It's helpful if you want to tidy up your machine and ensure its smooth-running. Otherwise, there is nothing else this tool can do for you. Its simplistic look and single-type function make for a very straightforward app. You either need it or you don't.
