Super Utilities Standard

Super Utilities is a software designed to help you clean up and maintain your computer.

The program comes with a user-friendly interface in which you can access various tools found in "System Cleaner", "Security Doctor", "Privacy Protector", "System Maintenance" and "Special Tools".

For example, you can clean up the disk when it comes to the Recycle Bin, Internet history and cache files, and temporary files, as well remove old files and temporary Internet files (Internet Explorer history, URL history and cookies).

You can scan the Windows registry (e.g. user action history, invalid uninstall information, redundant timezones), undo information, as well as backup and restore the registry.

But you can also remove installed software and hidden items, clean the memory, repair shortcuts (e.g. start menu and desktop, all drives in the list), remove spyware and manage applications which automatically run at system startup.

You can use "Security Task Manager" and "Security Service Manager", clean Browser Helper Objects, manage Internet Explorer passwords, hide folders, erase tracks (system, network and application traces), permanently delete files beyond recovery, backup a driver, manage file types, view system information, schedule an automatic shutdown, edit HEX code, analyze folders, and much more.

The tool uses a moderate amount of system resources and contains a well-written help file. No major errors have popped up during our tests.

On the other hand, the interface could use some improvements. Also, we would have liked to see support for additional web browsers besides Internet Explorer.

The bottom line is that Super Utilities comes with many features, but neither one is top-notch. Nevertheless, we suggest you test the tool for yourself.
