Voxengo Tube Amp

Music professionals or those who wish to modify the signal amplitude can do so in multiple ways, one of them being through the use of valve or tube amplifiers. Although not so popular anymore, due to replacement with solid-state amplifiers, the effect of tube amplifiers is still available in digital form, through various means.

Developed in order to offer such functionality, Voxengo Tube Amp will present users with an audio effect AAX, AudioUnit, and VST plugin. Regardless if it’s targeted at the professional sound and music applications, it provides the means of adding asymmetric tube triode overdrive to the output signal, this way achieving a similar effect to the one present when using classic, tube amplifiers.

The resulting sound effect will have a variable distortion, which can shift from a mild, warm overdrive, to a completely fuzzy one. A -6 dB per octet low-pass filter is also bundled with the plugin, which is inserted directly into its modeling equation, and it can be used for simulating a lower-quality tube triode.

The included, switchable output saturation stage can be used for additionally overdriving the output signal. All other standard Voxengo plugin features, such as multi-channel operation, channel routing, and others, are included.
