As the name of this piece of software implies, WinX YouTube Downloader allows you to download clips from YouTube. It can be easily handled, even by less experienced individuals.

The tool is packed in a clean and intuitive interface. Once you have written a URL, you can analyze it to find out details regarding the resolution, format, size and code of a YouTube clip.

In the file list you can check out the thumbnail, title, duration, resolution and format of every item. Processing multiple videos at the same time is possible. Once the output directory is established, you can initialize the encoding procedure.

You can preview clips in a built-in media player and capture frames, as well as adjust the volume and remove an item from the file queue.

In the "Options" area you can select the default resolution and format (MP4, FLV, WEBM or 3GP), specify the default video and picture path, as well as set a speed limit and configure proxy settings.

The video processing tool requires a high amount of system CPU and memory, in order to download a clip from YouTube in a short while. WinX YouTube Downloader has a good response time and outputs videos with a good image and sound quality. No error dialogs have been displayed throughout our testing and WinX YouTube Downloader did not freeze or crash.

On the downside, you cannot set WinX YouTube Downloader to automatically turn off the computer or to open the output directory once all jobs are done. Plus, you cannot specify the thread priority and there is no help file available.
