Portable NTFS Undelete is a very easy to use recovery tool that can quickly scan your NTFS drives and get back accidentally removed files.

The first thing you shall notice after launching NTFS Undelete is definitely the well-organized and clean interface that shows the available drives and lets you select the ones to scan.

After picking the drives to be checked for recoverable content, the application enables you to select the files to be recovered, with a dedicated search tab to filter the results.

There are two search modes at your disposal, simple and advanced, with the latter providing multiple options to look for case sensitive, deleted or non-deleted entries, folders and files.

What's more, developers have created a separate screen for the recovery process that provides even more configuration options. In plain English, you can choose to recover folder structure, all data streams and skip damaged files, but also define the action to be performed if the file already exists in the output folder.

Once you start the recovery process, NTFS Undelete keeps you entertained with information concerning the overall progress of the task, the number of total files, processed and remaining items.

Portable NTFS Undelete proved quite reliable and fast during our test, but it's less effective than many other recovery tools on the market. It does complete the process faster, but it didn't manage to detect some of the deleted files spotted by other similar apps.

All things considered, Portable NTFS Undelete is a tool that's worth a chance, mostly because it remains user-friendly throughout the whole process and runs on low resources regardless of the Windows version.
