The Internet may be vast with users connecting from all around the world, but this does not enhance it security. Various tools besides an antivirus can be used in an attempt to keep your computer safe. Alternatives can even mean web browsers such as Yasfib, which promises to let you visit your favorite web pages in a safe environment.

On the visual design level, the interface is kept simple, with all necessary navigation options and tabs hosted by the upper toolbar. The rest of the space is dedicated to content, which is pretty decent and allows you to view diverse content without more scrolling than usual.

However, in the attempt to focus more on functionality, speed and safety, several features were either left aside or poorly implemented. Websites that take advantage of modern technologies can inappropriately have content displayed, one cause being the too overprotective popups and ad blocker. What's more, downloading can also become difficult because of this feature.

Since the application supports multiple tabs, it would have been a shame not to encounter a bookmarks editor. Unfortunately, is too is poorly implemented, with the possibility to save and manage all of your favorite pages, but with a catch. There is no option that makes them visible on the toolsbar and trying to access them from the dedicated menu is in vain, pages refusing to even fill in the address field with corresponding details.

A home page can be set to greet you when running the application or pressing the dedicated button. The ad-blocking feature can also be managed from the options menu, but with no effect, pages still loading faulty.

The application lets you set up a proxy connection, with several preset locations. However, these are outdated and you need to manually fill in host and port in order for it to properly function.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that Yasfib is only at the beginning of a long road to success. The idea behind the concept is not to be neglected, but the overall poor implementation of features leaves a lot more to be desired. If you're looking for an alternative to conventional browsers, you might not have stumbled upon the proper application.
