The latest version of popular browsers come with integrated support for opening PDF files. For instance, Microsoft Edge is the default PDF viewer in Windows. Unlike other software utilities in this category, this one cannot open multiple PDF files in different tabs. With its help, you can open one PDF file for viewing and that is practically it, as there is no possibility to edit the content. There are no read out loud options, drawing on top tools or an integrated highlighter, like Edge offers.

On the bright side, VOVSOFT - PDF Reader is pretty simple and features a very small footprint on Windows. It requires no complicated configuration to open PDF files and it comes with a minimalistic interface that comes with the essential tools for opening PDF files.

The main GUI is straightforward and the PDF view adjusts as you resize the window. With a few clicks, you can also scale the document by fitting the page to the height of the main window.

VOVSOFT - PDF Reader comes with basic navigation features, which allow you to browse through the pages with ease. Unfortunately, there is no option to enter the page number yourself, which means you will just have to use the “Previous” and the “Next” buttons to scroll the document. Search functionality is available, which allows you to find keywords inside a large PDF file.

VOVSOFT - PDF Reader is as simple as it gets. Its sole function is to open PDF documents in a minimalistic interface. While it does provide interesting settings, such as smooth scrolling and LCD optimization, it is even more stripped down of options than Edge’s integrated reader. However, if you are going for simple, it is a choice as good as any other.
