The main window of AIM allows users to use a username and a password to connect to the IM server. 

The AIM menu allows users to read their mail, view their contacts from the Address Book and save the buddy list. 

The Edit menu of AIM allows users to access the settings window of the application or to view profile information. 

The Settings window of AIM allows users to configure their server host along with their proxy server settings.
