The Status menu allows you to change your status message to a custom one or to one from the application's defaults. 

The Contacts menu shows the various contact-related actions that you can perform including search, filter, sort or refresh statuses. 

The Interface Selection Wizard allows you to choose the application's interface style: Grouped / Tabbed or Traditional / Single. 

The Basic Preferences window lets you customize the application's behaviour according to your needs and taste. 

The Conversation tab in the Preferences window allows you to adjust the conversation settings. 

The Logging Preferences. You can choose if you want to log conversations, conferences and events on disk and if URL history should be enabled. 

BitWise Chat's Contact list Preferences. You can set various options about the display of your contact list in the main window. 

The Offline E-mail Preferences. Bitwise has a feature that allows you to set an e-mail account in order to receive your offline messages by e-mail.
