The SoftReel Configuration window is the place where you can choose if you want to change the video decoder settings or the video display ones. 

The Video Decoder Settings display the parameters related to the input formats, the output ones and miscellaneous details. 

The Properties window contains settings connected to quality management, designed to improve the performace of the application. 

The DirectDraw tab shows a list of options that you can select, depending on your preferences.
