The first screen of Miranda IM lets you select one of the profiles that you already have or to create a new profile 

This is the first window of Miranda IM where you can see a Status menu that allows you to set a status for each of the affiliated messanger applications 

In the main menu you can select what messenger application to start using and you also have a link to the Find/Add contact window 

Here you can see the ICQ available statuses and for each of them you have relevant smileys to choose 

The Options window of Miranda IM allows you to configure your Contact Lists, you Events and Network settings
