First step in optimizing your Internet connection is to choose the way you connect to the Web. 

If your connection needs a username and a password, you need to provide them in step two of the wizard. 

In case you have multiple network interface cards you have to choose the active one. 

After all the settings have been made the system needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
