VXP RSS Reader

VXP RSS Reader is a simple-to-use software application that facilitates a RSS reader, thus giving you the possibility to easily keep track of all your favorite online articles.

It does not come loaded with complex features or customization preferences, so it can be handled by any type of users, whether they have previous experience with this type of tools or not.

Installing VXP RSS Reader is a fast and easy task that does not require special attention. Once launched, it creates an icon in the taskbar notifications area for easy access.

Messages with new feeds pop up on the upper left corner of the screen as soon as they are published on the websites, and VXP RSS Reader triggers sound notifications.

Its interface is user-friendly, represented by a regular window split into tree panels for navigating websites, selecting feeds, and reading content.

A list with predefined websites is immediately loaded at startup, and you can add new ones by entering their URL, remove existing feeds, disable sound alerts, as well as deactivate VXP RSS Reader from automatically running at Windows startup.

The feeds list shows the title, date and description for each new article. Clicking an entry loads the page content on the bottom part of the main frame, so you can read it there. Apart from the fact that you can refresh the list, there are no other notable options provided by this software utility.

The app runs on low CPU and RAM, so it does not hamper system performance. However, it popped up several errors during our evaluation and had many glitches when loading the feeds list of websites.

We must also take into account that VXP RSS Reader has not been updated for a long while, so it likely has compatibility issues with Windows now. Although it is not feature-rich, it serves its purpose.
