On my computer, Ad Muncher 4.71 was removed 3250 ads (72MB) for only 10 days. |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | I have been using AdMuncher for just over a year and the program never ceases to amaze me. I have never had a single problem with AdMuncher. It's a set-and-forget program; very reliable.
As for the price, I was shocked to see Softpedia say it was over-priced at 24.95 -- clearly the person writing the review didn't browse enough or try all of the features to show the full capabilities of AdMuncher.
I have used the AdMuncher Forum when I couldn't get Google Speadsheets to open. The team worked quickly to release a new set of Default Filters that corrected the issue. They're always willing to help remove unwanted material from any website.
$24.95 for that kind of service and lifetime updates? It's a steal.

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | This is a must have for every internet user who does not want to view ads. It is 99% effective. Most ad removing software can't even do that! |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | This is the best ad remover available.
It is light on the resources, and it does the best job in removing embedded ads.
It tells you how many ads it has removed and approximately how many megabytes of bandwidth you have saved.
Im not completely clear on how it works, but after viewing the source of a webpage, I noticed a lot of http://www.admuncher.com references in there. Im guessing Ad-Muncher reads the page through itself and removes any references to sites that are known to be advertisements and replaces it with the text "[Munched]". It does it every efficiently.
The only problem i see with this software, in terms of ad removal, is that there is software out there that removes flash ads. AdMuncher is able to remove the ad that normally shows WITHIN the flash ad, but the flash box still remains to slow the webpage.
Example: ESPN.com. ESPN has a flash ad that scrolls down from the top. AdMuncher removes the ad, but the scroll box still shows and slows the page down. Ive tried a product that removes that bar completely.
I think the price is completely worth it...since its the best product out there.
I recommend it...but if you want freeware, of course look somewhere else. |
