While tracking internet traffic on my connection, I discovered that ZoneAlarm is sending strings of encrypted text to hs2.zonelabs.com , even though I have set it to NOT check for updates and have set it to alert me with a popup before making any contact with ZoneAlarm.

Updates are frequent and scanning is fast and deep. The OS firewall is very good and you can select and use a lot of options. It all depends on the level of protection that you want. Once this software is installed it will automatically disable your windows firewall and will replace it with a much better layer of protection. I am using ZoneAlarm anti-spyware along with Avira anti-virus and I haven\'t had any problems so far. In the beginning it might seem like the programme is very difficult and sophisticated to understand but it\'s not like that. Every component of the program is clear and you can choose from a wide variety of options for a better protection. There are several functioning components: firewall, program control, anti-spyware, spysite blocking, quarantine, anti-virus monitoring, email protection, alerts and logs, etc. I think that this program is worth trying and using.
