| Google Talk 1.0.0.96 |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | Getting better but not quite there yet. No time stamps. No saving chats to the computer.
Good points, this is not MSN. This does not have 1001 ads. In fact no ads. |

| Google Talk 1.0.0.92 beta |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | iChat users will feel more at home with the inception of buddy icons to this program. Obviously the glaring difference between iChat and Google Talk is the networks each program connects to, but in terms of look and feel, Google Talk mimics iChat more than any other Windows IM client on the market. I cant wait for Google Talk to start connecting to the AIM network...it will become my main client. No ads and very very fast. |

| Google Talk 1.0.0.82 beta |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | Overall, its pretty good. But in the thick of things it is quite lacking. Basically this client is purely meant to be for chatting purposes only.
There doesnt seem to be anyway to send files, photos, or any of that good stuff.
Its just chat and make phone calls, which is why i gave a 3/5 on features.
Buddylist...Chat...Phonecalls...GMail... Thats about it.
It has a refreshingly clean interface...thus the 5/5.
Its quite easy to use, however right off the bad it takes a couple minutes to pick up...something I didnt find with AIM, YIM or MSN.
Its free!!! 5/5.
Overall 4/5...it just needs some more good stuff like profiles, file sending, photo sharing...which im sure it will get once AIM is implemented after the recent 5% stock buyout of AOL. |

| Google Talk 1.0.0.72 beta |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | I love this program. Not only is it fast, but easy to use. Why would anyone want to use bloated cr.ap like MSN and Yahoo, where Gtalk is basic and uses hardly any memory. It runs fast and the sound quality is great. MSN freezes too much, as with Yahoo! Gtalk has never froze! Only problem is, there is no file sharing? |

| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | in this version they have improved loading of the inbox page... i think.
After i downloaded it, firefox loaded faster when clicking the Inbox link from Google Talk.
Yee! :) |

| Google Talk 1.0.0.64 beta |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | Dunno what to say, but it is or it will be the best. I belive in this just because it`s "google". It it was "microsoft" i would not have bothered to download it.
I like it. It has a great interface, the installer has only 900 KB, that means any user can download it and the hole program is just one simple .exe in your Program Files. As far as I kno, it is unbootable (no mass IM`s), like Y! Messy has.
I also like that they didn`t name it Google Messenger, like Microsoft (MSN) and Yahoo!. Google "Talk" is a much better name.
The interface of all Google programs is grey combined with colors from the Google logo.
And related to the size, the installer for Google Talk is the smallest:
- G Talk: 0,9 MB
- Y Messy: 8,3 MB
- M Messy: 8,9 MB
- Skype: 7,2 MB
and so on.
Yes, G Talk has less fetures but you understand what I mean.
And take for example Google Earth (10 MB) and Nasa World Wind (180 MB). I`ve tried both applications and G Earth is a lot faster when rendering. What about MS Earth? Well... it`s gay. I don`t like it.

| Google Talk 1.0.0.64 beta |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | Google talk is a great program. It is integrated with your gmail account which comes in handy a lot. The layout is wonderful and has none of the mess that the other instant message clients have created with ads and media. The calls are crystal clear and everything is so simple and easy to use. There are NO ADS whatsoever. Right now the features of Gtalk include-No ads, one click emailing, one click calling, crystal clear calls, simple integreation with gmail, over 2.5GB of email storage (from gmail), a message to be displayed when away OR online, contacts search, ability to change how friends names are displayed, sort friends by status or name, block users, view part of previous conversation AFTER closing the window, and a GREAT UI (user interface). This program is very new, clean and simple. Many great features will be added soon. Most importantly, the Google logo means more than you think. Search technology is very complicated, Google is very clean, organised, and safe. Google's mission is to organize all the worlds information and make it univerasally accessible and useful. This means a lot more than you can imagine, and it will take an estimated 300 years. There has been conspiracy about Googles power and security in their terms or service. Their terms of service are more trustworthy than other companies. Unlike companies like Microsoft and AIM, Google offers free and easy customer support in their help pages where you can even contact Google and get a personal response. Google is safe and reliable. Why should you care about Google? Because Google can change the way you live your daily life. Google is an important step in technology. Google already has many more services that search like blogger.com, Google Earth, Maps, Picasa, Hello, Desktop Search, Groups, Froogle and much more. People that work for big software companies like Microsoft are now running to work at the amazing Google! Google products are preferable over any other product in the world. I choose Google because I know it will make a difference. Gtalk is quite new and lacks MANY features but Google WILL develop them soon! Of the features that it does have they are great! It will be a wonderful program with just as many features as aim or any of the other instant messaging clients. Gtalk DOES require a gmail account but does NOT require an invite. Gmail is available to anyone in the US with a cellphone a gmail.com. Google will send you a verification code on your cellphone that you give back to them and create your account. This provides a way to validate users. Google Talk is in Beta which means it is still in the early stages of development and Google plans to add features to it. Google talk is great and will continue to get better! I think the BIGGEST con of all, is that there isnt a way to get everyone else to join faster! |

| Google Talk 1.0.0.64 beta |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | there are too many people on AIM in the usa for me to change to this program.
That goes for MSN and YIM as well. |

| Google Talk 1.0.0.64 beta |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | Well... I didn't have time to test it thoroughly, but it seems that the voice feature is a BIG plus (quality better than Skype). It's true that there are no other important features, but I'm sure that as time will pass this IM will arise to it's expectations ;)
(The account is not a big problem and it can be made in a few minuts, so this surely is NOT an issue) |

| Google Talk 1.0.0.64 beta |
| GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | This program doesn't distinguish itself from other in it's class. Furthermore it's even worse. So why should i choose Google Talk when kings of IM are around (Yahoo Msgr , MSN msgr)?
Who will want to make *new* friends lists anyway?
Don't get fooled by the "free call anyware" the program sais. It's free call between google talk users!!!! Yeah MSN and Yahoo msgr features.
And it requiers and gmail acoount too.
Advice : You could skip this one. |
