Very cool, indeed but sometimes u get to remain withhout credits... The single problem is the walking, well you cant walk just click on seats and stuff.... anyway a good mode to get fun.

Although the ease of use was quite poor i say that imvu is one of the world best 3d chatting sites.
I would recomed you used it.....the the pricesare fair and features amd graphical are excellent my overall rating is 10/10

I have a question - my roommate downloaded it yesterday on my computer and the performance has really suffered - it takes forever to get the computer up and running. is this due to the IMVU?

IMVU is a great way to find friends. =) It is easy and very simple! You should try it. IMVU is the latest 3d chat right? Of course it is! First, all you have to do is visit www.imvu.com. After that, you just have to register. You have to pick an avatar you like best and adjust which parts you think is not suitable. hehe. You'll like it. Trust me. Second, you have to fill in what name do you want your avatar to be. Fill in your age 2. It is compulsory. And you have to be at least 13 years to join this 3d chat. =) Third, you will have to download the imvu messenger to keep contact with people. They are many important usages in the imvu messenger like taking snapshots of your avatar or meet new people! When you first started your 3d chat, you will earn credits and the person you chat with will also earn credits! On your 5th 3d chat, you will earn credits and for the person you chat with 2.. You will receive 1000 credits when you first made your IMVU account. And an email will be sent to your email to verify your IMVU. After that, you'll receive 500 credits. These credits are for you to spend them anytime in the catalog! Isn't that amazing? I am very pleased IMVU. It is reminiscent of The Sims. This is an excellent review of the product, and you have touched on most of the points of contention that I have with it. The other thing I'd like to see is the ability to have more options with your 'away mode' in your buddy window, and I'd like to see whether or not one of your buddies is available to chat, not just online. The cut and paste option is there, kind of. You have to use the ctrl button and' G' IIRC. I'd also like the ability to 'sell' 'give away' or 'trade' some items that have been purchased because I didn't like them once I have gotten them,

IMVU is in the process of a major overhaul, with many changes to be made in the up-coming months that I am looking forward to.

As someone who is just getting into computer graphics and photo-shop it has helped me get my feet wet with the intracacies of developing products for IMVU. You can visit the forums for different tutorials and a host of other topics.

I also use it as a forum to showcase my fan-fiction writing, and through visiting pages I have found many friends who share the same interests, and we chat often. There ARE more than teens and perverts on this site, and I see it as a major player in IM chat.

Overall it is an excellent program. It has a few deterrents to keep minors away from the adult themed sites, and I whole-heartedly agree with having to pay for the adult access pass.
