Its better than AIM Triton, but I say stick with AIM 5.9
Pros: Its free.
It feels more like AIM 5.9 than AIM Triton, which is a good thing.
It doesn't install the AOLsoftware.exe process which is a staple with all new AOL softwares.
Has some of the expected AIM 5.9 features that AIM Triton does not.
Includes features which benefit corporate AIM users...namely they made a partnership with the company WebEx, which provides software which allows for a better corporate work environment. My guess is that one service AOL will provide (for a fee of course) through AIM Pro would be WebEx's Link2PC...which is VNC thruogh the web (cool software...I tried it out for free thru AOL Beta).
Cons: It has advertisements.
No AIM Ad Hack version exists for AIM Pro.
Lacks some important features which ar staples of AIM 5.9.
A bit slower than AIM 5.9 in terms of load times and such.
There are no real benefits in using this over AIM 5.9 in terms of the home user.

Its a nice AIM client that is designed for the corporate user in mind. Its worth a try for us home users, but it is nothing really special that warrants its use over AIM 5.9. |
