| | GUI: Features: Ease of use: Value: | | | This program offers some interesting and useful features to Live Messenger, but bundles an optional "sponsor program" that is known and documented as spyware/trojan, it attempts to make changes to the Windows HOSTS file, adds itself to pop-up blocking exclusions lists, redirects to an eBay phishing page, and presents false security alerts that encourage the user to download fake security software that is merely more spyware. Further, the EULA does not mention any age limitations, but many pop-ups generated by the sponsor program are adult oriented, to include gambling and porn solicitations. The author of this software has had his Microsoft MVP status revoked due to his alignment with and use of clearly harmful software as a sponsor, and even with the opt-out option, one must question the software developed by someone with such unsavory connections. This sort of software is a scourge; authors who promote these types of sponsor methods are an embarrassment to mankind. Their mothers should have drunk enough to miscarry. Not that I'm bitter. |
