Two reasons this fails:
1) After each test it forces you to close the program and write all the details in again.
2) No matter what you put the username and password in as it appears to send a set username and password that is incorrect! I thought it was masking the details but using a packet sniffer it actually sends what looks like a random string each time. Basic SMTP uses clear text so it cannot be trying to use an encrypted username and password to a standard SMTP server.
I could not even get it to work on an SMTP server that does not require a password.
